You’ll find a few photos of the station and its staff and I hope to add some facts and figures on the station in due course. Please feel free to email me with any requests or with any suggestions on how I can develop this page. You’ll also find two great collectable items about the Voice of Peace on my souvenir page.
Here’s how Tel Aviv looked on a normal day from the MV Peace. We were able on clear days to see girls sunbathing on the beach, and often yachts and Israeli gunboats would circle the radio ship. Even though we were only a short distance from shore, we still had to spend a minimum of three weeks on-board before we were allowed a week’s shore-leave. Very frustrating to be so near the bars and restaurants and those pretty girls, but not be able to partake!
The main transmitting mast with the four stacked FM dipoles and one end of the AM aerial!

Mike Darby and Neil Gates doing a spot of maintenance on the mixer in the main studio!
